3,500 new Express Entry invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada are available – Apply!
A total of 3,500 Express Entry applicants were invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada in a new Express Entry draw held on September 19. The minimum score on the Global Ranking System was 441.
The tiebreaker date and time used in this draw were September 6, 2018, at 10:28:45 UTC, meaning that all applicants with a Global Ranking System (GRS) score above 441, as well as applicants with a score of 441 who submitted their profile prior to this specified date and time, received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this invitation round.
While the size of today’s draw is smaller than the previous Express Entry draw on Sept. 5, which issued a record 3,900 ITAs in 2018, it is still larger than the number of ITAs the GOC was issuing in draws around the same time in 2017, when the draw size fell below 3,000.
The Express Entry system manages applicant profiles in Canada’s three main federal economic immigration categories – the federal skilled worker category, the federal skilled trade category, and the Canadian experience category.
Applicants are ranked according to their CRS score and the highest-ranked applicants receive an ATI in the regular invitation rounds.
